Kort om modellen
The Smith Dragonbait Trout Large Stream 8'3 Travel is a 4-piece travel rod designed for large rivers and fishing for bigger salmonids. With a length of 252 cm and a compact transport length of 67 cm, this model is well-suited for anglers who need casting distance, control, and easy transport in one rod.
The casting weight of 6–20 g makes the rod suitable for large spoons, lipped wobblers, heavy sinking minnows, and other compact trout lures that need to be fished steadily in the current. The semi-progressive action provides good power reserve in the butt section, while the tip retains enough sensitivity for precise lure presentation.
This is a technical travel model for targeted fishing for large trout, sea trout, and other salmonids in larger rivers, where long casts, secure hook setting, and control during the fight are crucial.
