Smith Pure 3/5 – Japanese spoon lure | Wild Fishing

Produktinformasjon

Kort om modellen

The Smith Pure 3 / 5 is a classic Japanese spoon lure for trout fishing in rivers, larger rivers, and lakes. It is designed for anglers who want a simple, precise, and highly versatile lure with stable action and good control in various types of water.

With 35 mm / 3.5 g and 40 mm / 5 g, the Pure series covers both lighter river fishing and slightly larger bodies of water. Its compact shape provides good casting distance relative to its size, while the spoon's movement remains stable with both slow retrieves and active guidance in currents.

The Pure is particularly well-suited when you want to fish naturally and with control through pools, current edges, shallow lake sections, and calm river stretches. This is a lure that does not rely on sound or excessive movement for its effect, but on shape, reflection, fall, and rhythm.

NØKKELDATA Tekniske spesifikasjoner

The Smith Pure 3 / 5 is designed as a traditional spoon lure with a balanced shape and stable action. It works well with steady retrieves, gentle drifts in currents, and small stops where the lure is allowed to fall controlled through the water column.

GANGE OG RESPONS Slik jobber den i vannet

The Smith Pure 3 / 5 has a stable and enticing spoon lure action that works well in both flowing and still water. When retrieved steadily, it moves with a controlled wobble that provides clear reflection without being too erratic.

In current, the Pure can be fished by drifting and making small adjustments with the rod tip. Its shape allows the lure to maintain its rhythm well when the water takes hold, while also allowing for small deviations and natural drops when you stop reeling in.

This controlled drop is an important part of its use. When the lure is allowed to sink briefly between retrieval strokes, it flashes on the way down and can trigger fish that are following without striking directly.

Pure 3 / 5 combines classic spoon lure action, stable retrieve, and natural fall – a simple but effective presentation for trout, Arctic char, grayling, and perch.

BRUK I FELT Når og hvor den passer best

The Smith Pure 3 / 5 is best when you want to fish effectively without overcomplicating your presentation. It works well in small and medium-sized rivers, larger river stretches, lake edges, pools, and calm areas where fish feed on small fish or react to reflexes and falling lures.

Use 3.5g when fishing shallower water, small rivers, calmer currents, or for cautious fish. Choose 5g when you need slightly longer casts, better contact in the current, or want to fish a bit deeper and more effectively over a larger water surface.

Retrieve the lure with a calm and steady retrieve, or vary with short stops to allow it to fall controllably. In rivers, you can let the current work with the lure and use small adjustments with the rod tip to control speed and depth.

Pure is particularly useful when crankbaits are too aggressive, or when fish react better to a more classic metal presentation with flash, fall, and a steady rhythm.

Bakgrunn og utvikling Historien bak serien

The Smith Pure is one of the most classic spoon lures in Smith's trout range. The model is based on a traditional spoon concept, but with a well-developed shape that makes it suitable for many fishing situations.

Instead of specializing in one particular technique, the Pure is designed to work broadly: slow rolling in lakes, controlled retrieve in calmer waters, and drift or turn in rivers where the current is actively used.

Pure 3 / 5 covers the lighter end of the series. 3.5g provides a more delicate presentation for smaller waters and cautious fish, while 5g offers more range and better water contact when conditions require a bit more weight.

The Smith Pure 3 / 5 is a classic, stable, and versatile spoon lure for rivers and lakes – made for anglers who want a simple, effective, and precise lure with natural movement.
