Kort om modellen
The Smith Shugendo SH36 Vertipela Casting Vertical is a vertical casting rod designed for pelagic predator fishing. This model is made for situations where the lure is fished precisely under the boat or in direct contact with fish free-swimming in the water column.
The responsive blank provides good control over short and precise lure presentations, while also giving quick contact on the strike. The casting weight of 20–80 g makes the rod suitable for heavier vertical lures, softbaits, and pelagic presentations where control and sensitivity are important.
During a fight, the rod works more progressively, contributing to a more even load and better control over fish that pull hard on a short line. This makes the SH36 Vertipela a specialized model for targeted vertical fishing from a boat.
