The Smith Dragonbait Trout 8'3 Spinning is a powerful 2-piece trout rod developed for large rivers and demanding current conditions. With a length of 252 cm, this model provides excellent casting distance, line control, and improved ability to effectively guide bait over longer distances.
The rod has a slightly higher tip action than the Large Stream model, which provides more distinct control when fishing with larger wobblers and hardbaits. It is especially relevant when fishing with 9 cm wobblers with a large lip in strong currents, where the lure creates high stress and requires a rod with both responsiveness and power reserve.
