Smith Troutin' Surger
60–80 mmProduct Information
About the model
The Smith Troutin' Surger 60 / 80 is a compact, lipless, sinking casting jig developed for active trout fishing in larger rivers, but it also works very well for sea bass, sea trout, and freshwater perch.
Its flat belly profile concentrates weight low in the body. This allows for long casts, quick contact, and a special rolling action when the lure is allowed to fall or briefly stopped during retrieve. Instead of swimming like a classic wobbler, the Troutin' Surger works more like a hybrid between a lipless minnow and a jig.
This model is particularly well-suited when you want to cover larger bodies of water, fish deeper current edges, or trigger fish that follow without striking on a steady retrieve. With twitching, stop-and-go, and controlled falls, the lure creates a restless baitfish movement that can provoke aggressive strikes.
